The food is very good but the wait times on busy nights (typically Friday/Saturday) are excessive.
This is made much worse by the moody and ignorant dark haired girl they have on the counter on such nights. The owners are nice people; why they've employed her is anyone's guess.
She ignores you where possible and you have to be extremely direct to get any idea at all as to when your food might be coming.
I keep walking if she's there now.
They also close fairly regularly on random days, normally in the week. A note in the door when you arrive will be the first you'll know.
Very good food, but not without issues.

10/10 experience with the golden wheel. My favourite in Louth. Friendly and generous staff couldn’t ask for more and always good food. Would recommend 100%.

The best Chinese in Louth or anywhere for that matter.
I've been hundreds of times and never had an issue. They are consistently excellent.
They've been here for about 30 years too, so I can't be the only one.😄

Just moved to Louth and struggling to find a nice Chinese. Went in tonight on a friend's recommendation. Place looks clean and staff very welcoming, after she said an hour's wait, I nearly walked out, but I'm pleased I didn't, the food was the best I've had from ANY Chinese. Very tasty, and full of flavours, and lots of it. Very hot on collection and great value for money. I have now found my new Chinese takeaway I will be returning.

Had a plain chowmein (even had a v on the menu) as I'm a vegatarian got home and began eating only to find bits of chicken in it!!! Never eating here again! Waste of food as its gone in the bin and I feel sick!!

Just order and enjoy... We stayed on a local camp site so didn't know good from bad in the local area (apart from reviews) wasn't disappointed with the Golden Wheel, just the opposite, probably one of the best Chinese's we have had...

Went into restaurant and placed order food was ready in 5 minutes, that should have given me the nod that quality of food would not be good. Chow mein was so soft in places it was mush and chicken dish was dry chewy and had no flavour.

Set meal for 2 was great, good choice of food. Found it to be good value for money.
